  • What is included in my sell package?

If you purchase the ‘Sell a Business – Classic Package’ you will receive a mini prospectus (1-page document about your business), list of 20 target buyers, online promotion (optional promotion via our network and some of the UK’s most well-known brokerage sites), 4 health checks of your choice to identify any potential issues that may arise in due diligence, a suite of template documents and access to our technical support helpline. Should you decide to buy the ‘Premium Package’ instead, you will receive a further list of 20 target buyers (40 in total), a prospectus (7-page document about your business), and Velocity will make the initial approaches to buyers on your behalf.

 

  • What is included in my buy package?

If you purchase the ‘Buy a Business – Classic Package’ you will receive a list of 20 acquisition targets, tailored approach correspondence, 4 health checks of your choice to allow you to assess acquisition targets, a suite of template documents, valuation support and access to our technical support helpline. Should you decide to buy the ‘Premium Package’ instead, you will receive a further list of 20 acquisition targets (40 in total), a further 4 health checks (8 in total), and Velocity will make the initial approaches to targets on your behalf.

 

  • What is included in my raise funds package?

If you purchase the ‘Raise Funds – Classic Package’ you will receive a mini prospectus (1-page document about your business), list of 20 target investors, online promotion (optional promotion via our network and some of the UK’s most well-known brokerage sites), 4 health checks of your choice to identify any potential issues that may arise in due diligence, a suite of template documents and access to our technical support helpline. Should you decide to buy the ‘Premium Package’ instead, you will receive a further list 20 investors (40 in total), a prospectus (7-page document about your business), and Velocity will make the initial approaches to investors on your behalf.

 

  • If I do not agree with an investor, buyer, or acquisition target on my list, can I ask for a replacement name?

Yes. You may request up to 3 replacements for every 20 names (so, if you have purchased 40 names, you may request up to 6 replacements).

 

  • Who handles the responses from interested parties?

You are in complete control of your process, so all responses will be directed back to you. When making outbound approaches on your behalf, we will include your contact details in our correspondence (with your permission).

 

  • What happens if I just want to purchase individual components of your packages?

All individual components of our packages can be purchased individually as standalone products. You can find these on the ‘Shop’ page on our website, where you can select the product or package you wish to buy, and then proceed to the checkout.

 

  • What happens if I do not successfully sell my business, raise funds, or buy a business?

We can assist you again with another list of buyers, investors, or acquisition targets, and make outbound approaches on your behalf, as necessary. Sometimes casting the net wider is needed to connect you with your perfect match!

 

  • Would I get a better valuation for my business if I used a corporate finance advisor?

Corporate finance advisors add value in these exercises ensuring your business is ready at the outset, handholding you throughout the process, and bringing expertise in negotiating the best deal. However, that does come at a price. By using Velocity, you can dip your toe in the water first to see if there is an interest, before instructing an advisor to assist, or indeed, using Velocity’s monthly support package.

 

  • Do you ever release personal contact details or information?

We will not release personal details about you without your consent.

 

  • Are there any other hidden fees or success fees?

No. We offer fixed price products and packages; what you see is entirely what you get! We do also offer a monthly support package, which costs £1,995 PCM plus 1% success fee (+VAT). This is for customers who have received interest in their business and would like support with managing the process and negotiations.   • If I do not sell my business, are there any tie ins?

There is no tie-in whatsoever. Velocity has been designed to be as flexible as possible for this exact reason, so you always have control and choice of who you wish to work with!

 

  • Do I have to sell my business if I decide not to?

Certainly not. We provide the necessary tools for an exercise, but the decision will always be yours.

 

  • If I need further advice or assistance with my sale, purchase or fund raise, what can I do?

You can either use an advisor of your choice, or the Velocity monthly support package which is an alternative flexible and cost-effective solution. For more information about our monthly support package, click here.

 

  • How long does it take to receive my documents once I have bought a package?

Once you have completed our Fact Find, your suite of templates and approach correspondence (if applicable) will be available immediately. Your other documents will be available within 2 working days.

 

  • How long does it take to sell a business, raise funds, or buy a business?

This depends on the complexity of the transaction and how the motivations of the buyer, seller and/or investor to conclude a deal. Typically, 3 – 9 months is what you can expect from start to finish.

 

  • What support is included with the helpline?
